Here are photos and stories of just some of the many dogs and cats who have been guests of Buddy Dog. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have! 

 

Pheobe is enjoying the water at her favorite park. Pheobe and her "Mom" are always together. "I love my "Baby Pheebs" says Nicole of her Boston Terrier and can't imagine my life without her. "I have made so many friends through Pheobe, but Pheobe will always be my best one!

Emilee donated lots of pet items to Buddy Dog for her 9th birthday.

 

Nathan made a donation in honor of his cat Maya, adopted from Buddy Dog last fall.

Fiona is a Sato (street dog from Puerto Rico), found roaming down the street after recently giving birth. She now spends her days going to work with her "Mom" and playing with her dog brothers at home. Thanks Buddy Dog for bringing us together!

 

Taylor is very happy in her new home. She is such a free spirit.

We are so grateful that 2008 brought our sweet Pickle into our family.

Maggie is a Sato ( a stray from Puerto Rico) We took her to the Sato Reunion in Gloucester Ma., it was fun. She loved the ocean.

Money really settled in nicely into her new home. She is a smart and special cat!

 

Jack, who was adopted in August of 2007 has brought lots of joy, happiness and silliness to our lives.

This is a picture of our three amigos, Otto, Mr. Pitt and Panchi. They bring joy to our lives everyday.

Libby (formerly Baby) is such a love! We just adore her!

Tasha and Bebe are doing fine and are well adjusted. Tasha is very laid back and Bebe does exactly as she wants to.

Kermit has been great! He may have started in Puerto Rico but he sure loves the snow!

Dusty has been with me for over a year now! She has lots of windows to look out and a veterinarian that comes right to our house.

"Cindy has fit right in" says her new owner Janet.

Bauer (on right) was just a baby when he was adopted from Buddy Dog by Karen and Dave from Brighton Ma. Here he is on the lake with his big "brother" Otis.

Millie ( a Basenji) and her new family look very happy together!

 

Without Buddy Dog we wouldn't have our Lucy, and we are forever grateful to you for that.

Sally (now known as Chloe) The Morgans are glad they took a second look at this wonderful kitty.

Neko (formerly Draco) has changed our lives. Everyday is a homecoming and we can't imagine our home without him. Thanks Buddy Dog, we are forever grateful to you for putting us together with such an amazing dog.

We are loving Roxy- she has been a great addition to our family.

I adopted a puppy from Buddy Dog in 1995. I still have Bosco and he is doing great! I am taking care of my mother who has dementia and Bosco has done wonders for her. He is so gentle and spends alot of time sitting with her. She loves to sing to him, and ofcourse he gets tons of loving.

Midge has the greatest personality. While she acts like a dog in the way dogs are fun and exciting, she still has that cuddly need to be petted that is so great in cats.

Hannah and Zoe are very happy and very active in their new home. This is a "baby" picture of them.

Princess, now called Jazmine has been a wonderful addition to our family. We couldn't be happier to have found her. Thank You!

Although it has only been a few months, Foxy (now known as Dolly) has enriched my life. She makes me laugh daily with her bulldog antics. A day does not go by without someone complimenting me on how beautiful she is. I always follow the compliment up with " I adopted her at Buddy Dog"!

 

Houndini (now Jumbie) is the best puppy! It only took him one day to learn to sit and give his paw. Housetraining has also been a breeze. He now has a new best dog friend "Amba." She is so happy to have a friend again. They play all the time. Here is a picture of our little guy. We are all as happy as he looks. Thanks to all of you for what you do.

Ria has brought us so much joy in the short time we have lived together. She cracks us up, especially the way she stretches and sings--- the vet thinks she has some Basenji in her. Training classes are going very well and we were pleasantly surprised to find she was already housebroken.

Two years ago we adoopted a very shy beagle. She was so nervous she would shake and didn't want to be petted. Here is a picture of her this morning, lounging in Anne's lap. We love Lilly (formerly Missy). She is the sweetest tempered dog we have ever known.

Teddi, Jamie and family, adopted Bonzai in March of '06'. He's awesome! We love him very much. He sometimes chews up our stuff, but we love him anyway!

Thank You for helping Zorro and me a real "love connection". I knew it was going to take a lot of work to win his confidence, but I loved him. There was something about the little guy that went straight to my heart. I am happy to say that a year later he is a happy adjusted dog!

Austin the Dog and Blue the cat have had no trouble settling in ! We love our "pound pets!"

Christina and Olympia are very happy and so am I !  They are joys!

Dakota has become a great part of our family. This is Dakota enjoying life on Peaks Island, Me last summer.

Noel has a new name; Grace Anne. A pretty name for a very pretty cat!

Luke is fantastic, we don't know how we got so lucky with him! He is a wonderful addition to our family and we are thankful we went to Buddy Dog to find a pet.

Otis has adjusted very well and is an adored member of our family.

Tigger is very happy. He alternates sleeping on my bed and my daughters.

Barbara's new name is Sundae and if she was a woman she would be Mae West! Tons of character and personality!  She is wonderful with my husband who is in a wheelchair. We couldn't be more happy with Sundae, shes the BEST!!!

We adore Marley (formerly Klaus). He has a great personality and fits in perfectly with his Sato sister, Deena. Everyone who meets Marley wants to take him home!

Ody is an intelligent dog and very friendly. We couldn't have chosen a better dog. He is clean and well trained. We are so happy with Ody. Thank You for the opportunity to adopt him!

Tuck is a pleasure to have in our home. He is smart and playful. Thank You very much!   Karen Petalas

Quint (now known as Sammy) is a very well behaved dog. He loves the car and just lays down in the back seat. I couldn't have asked for a better dog.

Daisy can still act like a little girl even though she is all grown up! We take very good care of her, she even gets her teeth brushed all the time!

Zoe brings joy to our home. She is a lovable cat and we are really happy with her. She enjoys the screened porch where she can get fresh air and remain safe!

We never thought we could love Sammy as much as we do!  Especially since we lost our beloved Cameron. Sammy is so sweet and lovable, we can't imagine our lives without him. Thank You,  The Childs

Cosmo, formerly known as Sugar, is the most affectionate, lovable cat!

My husband and I adopted two brothers Starlite and Skydancer. They have given us so much joy. We love them very much, and yes, we spoil them too. Shane formerly known as Grand was renamed due to his breed mix: Shepherd and Great Dane!  New owner Ken MacKenzie says Shane goes everywhere with me.

Thank You so much for finding me a new family and home!  I miss all of you, but I want you to know that I'm settling in just fine with my new family  (even the cat although we're not best friends yet). The holidays are so much more fun when we have pets to share them with!

You would never know looking at this picture that Sally was one of our harder to place dogs. Sally's exuberant behavior put alot of folks off, but not Jared and his Dad!  Sally is a shining example of what love, training and commitment will do for a dog. She is now a well behaved and important part of the family.  Great Job!
After only 24 hour in his new home, "Doc" now known as "Sam", is feeling right at home. He loves his new "big brother" and his sleeping cot complete with pillow and down comforter. Sam even thinks the cats are great!
Jesse is a very special boy who was a long time guest at Buddy Dog while he was being treated for heartworm. It was also determined at that time that he was blind. He now has a wonderful home where he has learned to feel safe and loved. We have had a wonderful experience with Nick (now called Jynx). Jynx lives happily with his cat brother Max.
Comet is very loving and social cat who likes being with us, but not on us! Purrrfect!
"Nikki and her owner Allison have joined 4-H together and won 2nd place in obedience and 7th in showmanship. Allison says, "Nikki is an Aussie (Australian Shepherd) and the sweetest dog I've ever known!"

The Gates family says Lady turned out to be very friendly and affectionate.  We are very pleased with her and think she is happy with us too!

My Mom thinks I am part human! She even lets me sleep in her bed. (even though I have my own too). My new name is Monty, formerly I was known as Diogi. My name was Pat the Cat. Now I have a whole new life,(which I much prefer) as Amber. I live with a dog friend and other kitties too.

Thank You for helping Prieta. She is a wonderful dog. When she first saw snow she wouldn't go outside, now she loves it! She picked up English pretty fast and is learning her commands. My husband adopted Lady 6 years ago. I met them both 9 months later and have been devoted to her ever since. She is a joy and we are so thankful to you for bringing her into our lives.

Alexandra and her cat Oliver say "Buddy Dog is the only place to adopt a pet!" The Fujiwara family says "Galen, now known as Oliver, is a good dog and we love him very much."
Laurie says "Shaggy is a great dog. Very smart!  He is very gentle and patient with the kids." Shaggy's favorite place to curl up is between the sofa cushions- so he can look out the window. Prancer Sullivan, adopted December of 2003 loves his new family.

    

"My daughter and I love Nochi. He is very loyal and loving. Nochi loves to go camping and hotels are fun too!  Donna and Alma Bracken Max is a wonderful dog who is just perfect! He has the typical terrier attitude and is a joy to live with. It was a miracle to find him. Lucia H.

   

Harley is the smartest, sweetest dog. She has brought great joy to our lives and we will always be grateful to Buddy Dog for bringing us together. The Wynne Family The Baloy family tells Buddy Dog that "Athena has been a beautiful and fun addition to our family. We are all so happy. Thank You!"

Gino (formerly Keno) is very sweet and loves our cat. This is a picture of him and his kitty girlfriend "Bella" who we also rescued. They both love sleeping on the couch all day. "Tess" enjoying some summertime fun. July of 2003.

Marty, now called "Riki"( in the backround) is sweet and loveable. He has mellowed some but still has lots of energy. Madeline Barton says "You can't have him back!" I wish I could have adopted every cat at Buddy Dog, but since I could'nt I was so lucky to find Cecelia (a.k.a. Princess Bunny Butt).

It took Coco a long time to adjust to her new home. Now she is relaxed and sociable. We love her very much and she is an important part of the Lewellin Family. Our dog is now called "Cleo". She is alot of fun to play with. We take her for walks every day. Thank You, Lauren and Donna

Sherry Kirker feels as though Satchel (now called Max) has always been a part of our family. He fit in right away and we can't imagine life without him.  He has a wonderful personality and is a total lovebug! Aileen Worden tells us: "Chloe and Elvis are the light of our lives. They are perfect in every way, and have brought so much joy into our home".

We adopted Gotch in July of 2002, and changed his name to Newton. He loves his backyard with the lake. He is very much a part of our family. Paul and Ann Fultz The Casey's adopted Anna, formerly Christina, March of 2003 and say she is very affectionate and eager to please (center of photo)." She loves to be with us, and has become a very good watchdog, alway letting us know when someone is coming."

Archie has done fabulously. He loved coming to the Sato Reunion and so did we. Thank You so much for all you do for the animals that you rescue and place in wonderful homes. Carolyn Carlson. Shane (now known as Memphis)was adopted in May of 2003. Thank You so much for letting me adopt him. He has become the center of my life. Sweet Pea (formerly Nutmeg) had just arrived the night before we saw her. We are very happy with her. The Fergusons.

Bill Lewis says "We have adopted 3 dogs and 1 cat from Buddy Dog and they have all been important members of our family." This little cutie is now called St Andrews or Andie for short. Bandit is a joy!  We feel so lucky to have found him. Thanks! The Seyfarth Family.

Simon and Sez, both adopted. Sez came from Buddy Dog and Simon from SPIN. They are inseparable.  Chris and Lynne We love Max (adopted June 2003) and we think he is happy with us!  The Means Family

My little "Buddy" is true to his name, a real buddy and companion. He loves everyone and everyone loves him.

November 20 , 2002 was one of the best days of our lives.

Brandy, is a sweet, loveable dog. She is a joy to have.

Monty (formerly Skippy) is one of the family.  Monty is very loveable and people can not believe we got him from a shelter. We've recommended Buddy Dog to all of our friends.

  

Will is helping his human brother Dan celebrate his 16th birthday. 

Will is the smartest dog we know!     

Lily, our Sato has become our best friend.  We can't imagine life without her. We named her after the woman in Puerto Rico who saved her.

Our girls are growing to be big healthy, happy cats! I don't think Gracie would be in our lives today if Buddy Dog hadn't taken such good care of her before we adopted her."

Ben takes agility classes once a week. His Mom says it gives him a chance to socialize! She also says I am the perfect dog for them, and I am a real member of the family! Daisy: A gentle, quiet, unassuming cat who sparkled in the sun.
